Electric Company is based in a 7,000 square foot studio called Progress Lab 1422, in the Commercial Drive area of Vancouver, Canada. Launched in 2009 with Boca Del Lupo, Rumble Productions, and Neworld Theatre, PL1422 is a locus for independent theatre creation in Western Canada. PL1422 is available to rent on its dark days. The studio features a well-equipped, 42' square (164 m) rehearsal hall with 21' ceiling height and wireless internet, fitting room, kitchen, a small workshop and loading bay, plus a 12' square (13.4 m) meeting/media room equipped with projector and screen. Standard non-commercial rates are $1000/week or $200/day plus add-ons; multi-day rentals, arts-based and low-maintenance activities are given priority.
