Tear the Curtain! Announced at the Arts Club

 

 

Tear the Curtain! was announced at part of the Arts Club Theatre season this morning.

 

Electric Company premieres a stylish thriller inspired by the "reel" history of the Stanley Theatre, which opened as a movie house with Lillian Gish's first talkie in 1930. Caught between the forces of the mainstream and avant-garde, this multimedia spectacle is about the eternal struggle for control of our attention. In Tear the Curtain! classic film noir archetypes like the femme fatale, the hardboiled detective, and the mob boss are dismantled to uncover a darker, ever-shifting reality.
