MEET APRIL’S RESIDENT ARTIST
We’re excited to feature an artist we hosted at Left of Main in the spring as part of a residency exchange program with Impulse Theatre/Peek Fest.
Andrew Barrett (he/him), continued developing his work the soft spaces, a “multi-disciplinary dance-theatre project…based in his experience growing up on Salt Spring island. Andrew investigates where the geography that raised him and his Queerness intersect and thrive. Using movement, video, music, and text, the work grapples with the spaces between islands and bodies; Queerness and conformity; care and self-deception.”
