Experience Kevin Kerr’s work in-progress

Our Core Artist has been hard at work with Epigone

Join Kevin on November 2nd as he reads excerpts of his work at The Death Café, hosted by the Heart of The City Festival, where they address this year’s theme: Dignity in Community. After the reading, “the Café invites participants to share tea, snacks, and open, respectful conversations about death and dying. Guided by photographer and filmmaker Tallulah alongside Kevin, the gathering offers reflection, connection, and community.”

EPIGONE explores our responsibility to the dead and serves as a requiem for those lost to the opioid crisis and toxic drug supply. Drawing inspiration from Greek tragedies—Antigone, Electra, Seven Against Thebes, and The Bacchae—EPIGONE follows a cursed family and the unlikely hero Epigone, banished to an isolated double-wide trailer in the North for her perceived crimes and addictions. Against a landscape scarred by resource extraction, the story unfolds as murder mystery, revenge tragedy, and underworld musical.”
