Olivier Awards

More honours for Jonathon, Crystal, and Kidd Pivot

Once again, we are so floored and excited to see some familiar names at a certain very fancy award ceremony.

On April 6th, the 2025 Olivier Awards gathered some of the UK and world’s most exciting artists to recognize excellence in the 2024-2025 London Theatre season. Comparable to Broadway’s Tony Awards, the Oliviers are one of the most prestigious performing arts awards in the English-speaking world!

This year, for the third time, a Jonathon Young/Crystal Pite collaboration has been named Best New Dance Production. It’s pretty amazing to see these two artists we know and love being honoured like this on a global stage. One Olivier award was amazing. Two was astonishing. Three is kind of surreal, honestly!

Their latest creation Assembly Hall, which Kidd Pivot co-produced with Electric Company Theatre, was presented in London last fall by Sadler’s Wells, and follows in the footsteps of their previous works Betroffenheit and Revisor, which won the award in 2017 and 2022, respectively.

Our congratulations to Jon and Crystal, and endless love to the company of the show’s European tour, just recently wrapped! We hope this brought a welcome burst of extra excitement for a beautiful work.
