An Undeveloped Sound runs from January 30-February 11, 2023 at SFU Woodward’s!
We’re hitting the ground running this new year as everything is coming together for the World Premiere of Jonathon’s An Undeveloped Sound from January 30 – February 11, 2023 at the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre at SFU Woodward’s! Come support Electric Company Theatre’s new creation, written and directed by Jonathon himself, and featuring a number of talented artists on and off stage in our first major production since 2020. We’re counting down the days to reunite with all of you in-person.
On the shores of an ocean sound, an abandoned commercial outlet has been repurposed as a call centre. Inside, a team of spokespeople have been recruited to speak on behalf of a mysterious new development. Their task, it seems, is next to impossible. Although units have been sold and the development should be in its final phase, the developer has stopped responding, the units haven’t materialized, and the spokespeople are at a loss for words. What exactly have they been hired to represent?
Jonathon has assembled an A-list team of talent from across the land to bring the show to life on stage. The production will feature nationally recognized performers Ryan Beil, Andrew McNee, Amy Rutherford and Laara Sadiq; movement direction by award-winning contemporary dance artist Natalie LeFebvre Gnam; scenography by acclaimed stage designer Camellia Koo; costumes & props by Jessica Oostergo; media design and integration by Eric Chad & Jack Chipman; music by electro-ambient composer Loscil; and lighting by award-winning designer and artist Sophie Tang.
