Mary is the ageing matriarch of a wealthy family. She loves her husband, has enjoyed her life, and has lived well. However, something is wrong with the family she so loves, and when one of her children disappears, a series of events is unleashed that forever changes her family and her life.
Examining the rotten core of Canada's economy, The Full Light of Day is about cities, power, land, the things we do to flourish, and the drastic steps we must take in order to survive.
Electric Company's reputation for groundbreaking, ambitious productions is holding steady as The Full Light of Day continues pushing the boundaries of media in the theatre. Live cameras, projected imagery and video create an integrated scenography and rich visual world where themes of perception and truth are heightened through a unique blending of live and cinematic content.
Governor Award-Winning writer Kevin Kerr has also created The Virtual Light of Day, a collection of short films shot in 360° cutting edge Virtual Reality. These films, designed to enhance the stage production, also stand alone, and are told from the individual perspectives of the principal players, placing the viewer inside the action, perceptions, and experiences of the characters.
